Safeguarding

Safeguarding Information

At West Walton Nursery School, safeguarding children is our highest priority. We have a duty under the law to protect children from suspected or actual significant harm and to promote their safety and wellbeing at all times.

Our robust employment and safer recruitment practices help to protect children from the risk of abuse within our setting. We also have clear procedures in place for managing and responding to any complaints or allegations made against a member of staff.

Our approach to working in partnership with children and their families enables us to identify concerns at an early stage. Where appropriate, we provide support and, when necessary, work with or refer families to relevant external agencies to ensure that children and families receive the appropriate help and support.

Our Policies

All policies have been formally adopted by West Walton Nursery School Limited and are reviewed annually to ensure they remain up to date and reflect current requirements and best practice.

A copy of all our setting policies is available to families through our website and via Tapestry, our online Learning Journey system.

We believe that working openly and collaboratively with families is an essential part of keeping children safe, supporting their wellbeing and helping them to thrive.
